- Founded an AI company building conversational assistants for public-facing kiosks, targeting museums, visitor centers, and information desks.
- Designed and built the prototype end-to-end: speech-to-text intake, RAG over institution-specific content, and conversational UI, using NodeJS, TypeScript, React, Chromium, and both local and cloud-hosted LLMs.
- Engineered for reliable public deployment: response latency, ambient noise handling, multilingual visitor support, session isolation and timeout, content guardrails, and accessibility.

Technologist
About me: I grew up in New England, went to school in New Hampshire, lived in or around Miami, Atlanta, Kansas City, Los Angeles and Madrid. I currently reside in gorgeous Los Altos, California (near San Francisco in Silicon Valley). I'm a Technologist - which is really just a way of saying a technical generalist with a wide range of skills and experience, but with a continual focus on cutting edge tech, from the web to mobile to streaming media and now AI. In the past that's made me a programmer, a startup founder, a consultant, a strategist, a product manager, a writer, a technical evangelist and speaker.
